NOT YOUR DAUGHTER'S YOGA

Mature bodies have special needs! This hour long class will feature accessible, clearly cued postures designed to stretch out, strengthen and relax those areas that are most prone to carrying stress and tension. You will be gently encouraged to explore a full range of movement with hands-on enhancements and options for modifications. All ages and abilities are welcome at this class, no prior experience with yoga is necessary! Bring your mat, a water bottle and a full size towel.

A Modified Flow class is really an introduction to Flow, to bridge the gap between a Bare Bone Basics class and a Flow class for those who might not feel ready to jump right into a regular Flow class. This class will be more physically challenging than the Bare Bone Basics and will help people learn how a Flow class flows! Participants are welcome to
stay in this class, or take it and then move up to Flow.

The Chakras are the 7 main energy centres (or wheels/disks) that contain bundles of nerves and connect to major organs in the body. Each chakra aligns with the spine, beginning at the base of the spine and moving up through the crown of the head.

Each class will focus on one specific chakra. We’ll talk about what each chakra is, what it’s connected to in our physical, mental & emotional body, and how it relates to other areas of our lives. We’ll talk about imbalances in each area and how it can reflect in our bodies & lives. We’ll practice breath work, meditation, yoga asana and self-inquiry to balance, activate & align each chakra.

In each class learn new dance steps.......AND at end of four weeks you will have a complete choreographed dance. If you love to get your groove on , this class is for you! Bring out your inner circus on the aerial silks, "hang" with your friends and learn this amazing art form. Excellent for the strong and agile or anyone who wants to feel like they are flying! Watch "Aerial Hammock" performances on YouTube to get an idea of the moves on the silks.

An effective way to get a workout in a state of dancing bliss.
Included is a yoga stretch, ATS bellydance, 60's choreography, Salsa choreography, a little sexy walk, then top it off with a lap dance. Imagine!
A sense of rhythm is required. Please wear black tights and tank. Bring high heels for salsa and lap dance. Costuming provided for bellydance or bring your own.
